Welcome to the 2010 WH Girls' Lacrosse Season!
Voluntary pre-season weekend practices start SATURDAY, MARCH 13! We have NOT picked teams yet so show up by DIVISION. You will be divided into smaller groups and we will run drill stations. Please bring your parents so we can answer their questions. The more you show up the better you will be when the season starts in Mid-April.
What to bring: Stick (women's obviously), Eye wear, mouth guard, water bottle and dress in layers (you may want gloves as the wind can chill the hands on a metal shaft very quickly). You can wear cleats or sneakers on the synthetic turf field.
Rules for the turf: Sorry, everything has rules but they are designed around safety and being responsible with the resources that are given to us by the town and the High Schools!
1. No food or drink on the turf (water bottles are OK but you must take them with you).
2. No one other than players and coaches are allowed on the field. Parents, please stay behind the chain linked fence or in the stands. This is for safety and insurance purposes. The league only insures registered volunteers, coaches and players.
3. Please enter the turf at the gate closest to the school and if you have cleats on, use the mat that they lay across the track so the cleats won't damage the track.
4. WHGL rule: be on time. We have a lot of kids and few coaches so it is hard to take on late stragglers.
